Tulipa 'Golden Oxford' is a Darwin Hybrid Tulip, a group originally developed by crossing Darwin-type tulips with Tulipa fosteriana. The resulting varieties combine large flowers with strong growth and sturdy stems.

'Golden Oxford' lives up to its name with substantial goblet-shaped blooms in a rich, clear golden yellow. The colouring is remarkably bright and uniform, although individual flowers can occasionally develop small red flecks or markings that add a little natural variation.
