Outer petals are a soft rosy pink while inner petals are deeply ruffled and creamy white, creating a round shape within the flowerhead; hence the namesake 'ice cream'. This tulip will thrive regardless of the environment, though best results will be seen when planted in moist, well-draining soil in a sunny location.

Tulip 'Ice Cream' is a Double Late or Paeony Tulip, named for its chalice-like appearance of abundant, doubled petals.
