Rolawn Turfing & Lawn Seeding Topsoil 500 Litres

Your lawn deserves a solid start. Rolawn Turfing and Lawn Seeding Topsoil gives you that start with a sandy, loamy mix that supports grass from day one. It is blended for fresh turf and grass seed, so you can use it with confidence. This topsoil creates a strong base that helps new lawns root well, drain properly, and stay level.

Why Your Garden Benefits

This topsoil contains Rolawn’s slow-release GroRight Lawn Establishment Fertiliser. It feeds new grass little by little. Your lawn stays nourished as it grows. The mix includes sand, topsoil, and soil improvers that work together for a balanced structure. This keeps water moving through the soil and prevents puddles.

You can spread it easily because it stays workable, even when damp. It has minimal stones and is screened to 20mm, so you get a consistent surface. The organic matter content sits at around 8 percent, giving fresh roots something helpful to hold onto. Use it under turf or seed for smooth, even coverage.

Good For Grass, Good For Wildlife

A thicker, healthier lawn does more than look smart. It supports insects and birds that rely on grass for food and shelter. Strong grass contains more stems and root networks. These pockets give beetles, worms, and solitary bees somewhere safe to live. More insects bring more birds. Robins, starlings, and blackbirds benefit as they feed on grubs living in healthy soil.

Good drainage avoids waterlogging. This reduces moss and encourages a wider mix of native grass species. These species support pollinators that help your garden flourish. Your lawn becomes part of a natural cycle that helps local wildlife thrive.

Tips For Best Results

Spread the topsoil to a depth of 50mm before laying turf or sowing seed. Rake it level and firm it lightly. Do not leave loose pockets. Add your turf or seed straight after preparation. Water well during the first few weeks. This helps the fertiliser activate and supports early root growth.
