What This Product Does for Your Soil
This compost supports healthy soil structure. It increases organic content in clay, sandy, and chalky soils. You notice better drainage and stronger moisture balance. Air moves through the soil with less effort. Plant roots grow deeper and stronger. You save time watering and feeding because the soil holds nutrients well.
Rolawn Compost Soil Improver is easy to handle. It is fine, crumbly, and spreads with little effort. You can add it to borders, vegetable beds, raised beds, and containers. It also works well as a mulch. The compost helps protect exposed soil and keeps moisture where plants can reach it. The product meets BSI PAS100:2018 standards. You get a consistent material with low stone content and a dark brown finish that looks tidy in any garden.

How Much You Need
Each standard bag contains about 0.5 cubic metres or 500 litres. A bag weighs between 350 and 570 kilograms, depending on moisture content. That single bag covers:
- Up to 6.7 square metres at 75 millimetres depth
- Up to 10 square metres at 50 millimetres depth
- Up to 16.7 square metres at 30 millimetres depth
Follow these typical application rates for soils low in organic matter:
- Heavy clay soil, apply 75 millimetres and work it in to 200 millimetres
- Chalky soil, apply 50 millimetres and work it in to 200 millimetres
- Light sandy soil, apply 30 millimetres and work it in to 200 millimetres
Work with dry conditions when possible. Wet soil compacts easily and reduces the benefits of improved structure.
Good News for UK Wildlife
This peat-free compost supports a healthier environment. Peat extraction damages natural peatlands that support rare birds, insects, and plants. By choosing a peat-free material, you help protect those habitats. Healthy garden soil also supports worms, beetles, and beneficial micro-organisms. These creatures improve soil quality with natural processes and provide food sources for birds and hedgehogs. Your garden becomes part of a wider chain of life. You enjoy a space that looks good and supports local species.
Why You Will Like Using It
You get a product that improves soil structure, supports plant health, and benefits wildlife. You work less because the soil needs fewer interventions. You see plants grow stronger and look better. You also make a positive choice for the environment without changing your routine.
