Give an ambitious plant collection a broad, tall setting with the ProRep Flatpack Terrarium 91.4x45.7x90cm. The largest format in this eleven-model range combines a panoramic front with substantial vertical scope. It offers space to plan a rainforest-inspired botanical display with low foliage, raised specimens and clear gaps between the different layers, rather than relying on one densely planted surface.
A statement garden with several planting heights
Imagine two branching structures rising at different positions, each carrying a carefully selected group of small plants. A lower garden can connect them, while open areas reveal the height of the enclosure. The wide front gives you room to separate these features so that upper plants do not completely conceal the scene below.
Scale the decorative structure to the space without allowing it to dominate. Large features can make maintenance difficult if roots, leaves or equipment become trapped behind them. Before planting, plan where each specimen will grow and how you will reach it for watering, pruning or eventual removal.
Build a collection around shared growing needs
Selected miniature orchids, compact epiphytic bromeliads and suitably sized tropical ferns offer possible starting points. Small Fittonia albivenis or manageable Pilea involucrata could add lower foliage. Choose individual plants by mature size and environmental requirements, not simply because they share a tropical label.
Even a large terrarium has limits. Vigorous climbers and broad-leaved houseplants can quickly obscure smaller specimens, while some miniature orchids need conditions very different from warm-growing foliage plants. A selective collection with room between plants can remain more attractive and practical than a larger assortment that constantly competes for space.
Front access to a tall glass display
The ProRep enclosure is supplied flatpacked for assembly before use. Hinged front access provides a route to planting at different levels, while mesh ventilation allows air exchange. A terrarium lock is included, and the waterproof base is a practical feature for cleaning and ongoing care.
The enclosure does not automatically provide rainforest humidity or a stable temperature. Conditions may differ between the top, the base and sheltered planting pockets. Monitor the growing areas and plan any additional equipment accordingly, keeping ventilation routes open rather than covering them with backgrounds or foliage.
Plan the setup as a complete growing project
Choose the final position and an appropriately supported, level surface before assembly. Follow the supplied instructions and leave sufficient space to operate the doors. Secure decorative structures without stressing the glass, and do not assume that the ventilation mesh can carry hanging plant arrangements.
Lighting needs to reach across the width and down to the intended planting levels. Upper foliage can shade the lower garden, so select and position suitable plant lighting alongside the layout. Maintain the fitting's recommended clearances and avoid strong direct sunshine that could overheat the enclosure.
Make mounts removable where practical, water each root environment appropriately and retain access to remove surplus water. Select plants, décor, growing media and equipment separately. The display can remain entirely plant-focused; any animal use requires a separate assessment of the species' adult space and care needs.
