Vriesea Flaming Sword thrives when grown in a mixture of regular potting soil and orchid mix, in a one-to-one ratio. Bright, indirect indoor light is ideal for the flaming sword houseplant, and its cup or tank should always be filled with water. Minimal watering is necessary, with the soil kept lightly moist and never completely dry.
