This Pithari Cretan Planter from the Terracotta Pot Company is crafted on the island of Crete, employing age-old techniques and styles that have remained unaltered for almost 4000 years. These frost-proof pots create a magnificent and larger-than-life ambiance in any garden.

The Pithari planter represents a classic example of our Terracotta pots, boasting a traditional design. Adding to its charm are the handles on its sides, which were originally incorporated for storing wines and oils. These Terracotta pots and planters provide an excellent habitat for plants, offering a cool and breathable environment that fosters root growth.

All of the Terracotta Pot Company pots and planters feature a silicon-based coating, ensuring safety and inertness. This coating dries completely clear, leaving the pots unaffected by any coloration. Additionally, it repels water droplets, offering further protection against damage during the cold winter months.

We include the relevant set of feet for your terracotta pot for FREE with each order. To ensure that the pot remains in good condition and to qualify for the frost proof guarantee it must be mounted on these feet.

Pond Plants

Currently dispatching on Tuesdays and Thursdays only.

In the main season, orders placed by 11am on a working day are sent the next working day, excluding Friday (or the Thursday before Easter).
During low season we will amend the days orders are shipped. The dispatch days are normally:

March - Twice weekly Tuesday and Thursday
April to Mid-August - 4 days per week Monday to Thursday
Mid-August and September - Twice weekly Tuesday and Thursday
October to February - Once per week on Tuesday

Due to the volume of orders being handled, we are unlikely to be able to amend or cancel an order if it has already been picked and packaged. Once in this status, the order will be shipped and invoiced accordingly.
Our couriers will leave orders in a cool shaded area if there is no one at the address provided, or with a neighbour if possible.
