Narcissus 'Butter And Eggs' daffodil bulbs are a very old species of daffodil dating pre-1777. These bulbs produce a flower with a creamy yellow outer petals, and a brighter yellow and orange, ruffled inner section. It is very clear how this flower received its name, as many say the colourings and ruffled sections resemble eggs. This plant does well in most soils, but likes a slightly acidic, moist, well drained soil in full sun for maximum growth.
Narcissus 'Butter And Eggs' is a Division 4 daffodil, consisting of flowers with doubled petals, in the case of Butter and Eggs it is the inner sections that are doubled, creating the stunning ruffled effect,
