It is nearly twice the size of the original Kindling Cracker so you can split firewood that is longer and wider. Crafted from top-quality recycled cast iron, each unit is a single solid piece, built to last for generations. This exceptional tool owes its creation to the ingenuity of Ayla Hutchinson, who, at the age of 13, invented it after her mother injured a finger while chopping firewood with an axe.

Picard Hammer

The Kindling Cracker Picard Sledge Hammer is perfectly designed to accompany either size of Kindling Cracker. The hammer has a head made from forged steel and a hickory shaft for comfort and durability. The Kindling Cracker hammer was made in collaboration with renowned German manufacturer Picard.

The hammer features powder-coated sides and polished striking faces to ensure that the product endures the test of time. The handle is varnished to help protect it from dirt and moisture.

Fire Lighters

Kindling Cracker Natural Firelighters are the perfect way to start a cosy fire without the use of chemicals. The Kindling Cracker Natural Firelighters are made from 100% natural wood shavings and are sourced from ecologically sustainable forestry, giving you peace of mind.

Kindling Cracker Natural Firelighters are incredibly easy to light, free of chemicals and burn for around 8 to 10 minutes, giving you plenty of time to get your fire started.

Each box contains 32 individual firelighters.

Ingredients: 100% natural wood shavings, stearin and paraffin wax.

Pond Plants

Currently dispatching on Tuesdays and Thursdays only.

1. In the main season, orders placed by 11am on a working day are sent the next working day, excluding Friday (or the Thursday before Easter).
2. During low season we will amend the days orders are shipped. The dispatch days are normally:
• March - Twice weekly Tuesday and Thursday
• April to Mid-August - 4 days per week Monday to Thursday
• Mid-August and September - Twice weekly Tuesday and Thursday
• October to February - Once per week on Tuesday
3. Due to the volume of orders being handled, we are unlikely to be able to amend or cancel an order if it has already been picked and packaged. Once in this status, the order will be shipped and invoiced accordingly.
4. Our couriers will leave orders in a cool shaded area if there is no one at the address provided, or with a neighbour if possible.

Other Products

We aim to dispatch orders within 3 working days (Monday to Friday).

Some specialist products such as our larger insect houses, furniture and niche bird boxes are made to order and may have a lead time of 2-6 weeks.
