For optimal growth, it is recommended to plant Helleborus orientalis 'Double' in a moist, well-drained area with partial shade. This species is highly adept at spreading and naturalizing, but it is not tolerant of disturbance. Therefore, it is recommended to avoid moving it for the best results.
