The Fritillaria imperialis 'Sunset' is a stunning fritillary with a very fitting name. This stunning plant blooms in spring to produce beautiful sunset orange flowers with a majestic crown of deep green foliage. The Sunset is an autumn bulb and does best when planted later in the year from September to November. This beautiful plant doesn't get quite as large as other Fritillaria imperialis species and reaches a maximum height of 60cm.

The Fritillaria imperialis 'Sunset' is quite easy to grow and does well in borders and raised beds. The bulbs should be planted in full sun to partial shade around 20cm deep.
