The Fritillaria imperialis 'Rubra' is a spectacular fritillary with stunning sunset red nodding flowers with tinges of purple at the base and a beautiful crown of deep green foliage. The Rubra does best when planted later in the year from September to November and produces its stunning flowers throughout spring. This plant can get quite tall, measuring an impressive 90cm when fully grown.

The Fritillaria imperialis 'Rubra' is quite easy to grow and does well in borders and raised beds. The bulbs should be planted in full sun to partial shade around 20cm deep.
