Dichelostemma ida-maia, commonly referred to as "Californian Firecracker", is a summer-blooming bulb found in the western United States. Its vivid red blooms culminate into a yellow-tipped flower head, forming a vibrant and eye-catching display.

We recommend planting Dichelostemma ida-maia bulbs into well-drained soil in a sunny spot in the garden. This flower should be planted between September and December and the flowers will come up between June and July.
