Cypripedium formosanum bulbs, also referred to as lady's slipper, produce a stunning plant. The foliage consists of two large, fan-like leaves with ridges, supported a long, slender stem. The flower of this plant is particularly distinct, featuring a large pouch and hood-like petals. Its beautiful creamy white color is enhanced by flecks of light and dark pink.
Cypripedium formosanum grows best in moist, well-drained soil and dappled shade. During colder winters, mulching with a protective layer is recommended to prevent frost damage. These plants have a tendency to form clumps.
