Chionodoxa luciliae (syn gigantea) is an early-spring flowering bulb known for its bright, star-shaped blue blooms with lighter centres. The hardy variety is easy to cultivate and can be used to add a splash of colour to a rock garden, alpine bed, or garden border. The resilient bulb will form a wide clump over time if left in the ground.
We recommend planting Chionodoxa luciliae bulbs into well-drained soil in a sunny spot in the garden. This flower should be planted between September and December and the flowers will come up between March and April.
