The Arisaema thunbergii subsp. urashima, also known as a Cobra Lily for its snake-like hood, is a striking Arisaema with a pink spathe that turns to purple around the mouth of the flower. This unusual plant does best in shady areas with plenty of drainage and a healthy amount of leaf mould to encourage growth. Once they are established in your garden they require very little attention aside from needing a bit of protection for very severe frosts.
