Geum 'Alabama Slammer' (Cocktails Series)

Geum 'Alabama Slammer' from the Cocktails Series is a compact clump-forming perennial grown for its warm coloured flowers and tidy foliage.

The plant forms a dense mound of deeply lobed green leaves with toothed edges. Dark purple stems rise above the foliage and carry single to semi-double flowers.

The blooms show golden yellow centres with soft orange and red tones around the edges. Flowers appear from late spring into early summer.

You can use this geum at the front of borders, in cottage gardens, or within wildlife planting. The upright stems add movement and colour above the foliage.

Where could you add early summer colour in your garden? A group of Geum 'Alabama Slammer' works well along paths and border edges.
