Achillea millefolium 'Cerise Queen'

This vigorous, mat-forming perennial creates a loose clump of feathery, dark green foliage. From summer into autumn, it produces large, flat clusters of magenta pink flowers with white centres.

It reaches a height of approximately 60cm with a similar spread.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Provides a long season of colour from summer to autumn.
  • The flowers are excellent for cutting and drying.
  • It thrives in full sun and tolerates dry, well-drained soil once established.
  • This plant suits herbaceous borders, wildlife gardens, and gravel gardens.

Benefits for UK Wildlife

The dense, nectar-rich flower clusters attract a wide range of pollinators. You will see bees, butterflies, and hoverflies visiting your garden from June onwards.

Other Names

This plant is also sold as Achillea millefolium 'Cherry Queen' or Achillea millefolium 'Kirschkönigin'.

Planting Tips

  • Choose a position with full sun for the best flowering.
  • Plant in soil that drains well; it tolerates poor, dry conditions.
