Agralan Aphid Control - Ladybird Larvae

Aphids, including greenfly and blackfly, are a widespread garden pest that feed on plant sap, weakening growth and causing leaves to curl, yellow and distort. Heavy infestations can stunt plants and reduce flowering or crop yields. As they feed, aphids also produce sticky honeydew, which encourages black sooty mould to develop on leaves and stems, further affecting plant health and appearance.

How to Control the Pest

Ladybird larvae are one of the most effective natural predators of aphids, offering fast and reliable biological control. These active hunters consume large numbers of aphids as they grow, helping to quickly bring infestations under control. Ideal for use on taller plants outdoors or in greenhouses, ladybird larvae provide a completely chemical-free solution that supports a healthy garden ecosystem.

How to Use the Product

Simply hang the supplied bag containing the larvae directly onto plants in the affected area, allowing them to disperse naturally. For best results, introduce ladybird larvae as soon as aphids are seen. Repeat applications every 2–3 weeks during the growing season, typically between May and August, or whenever temperatures are above 10°C. Regular use helps maintain control and prevent aphid populations from building up.
