The Woody Woodland & Park Bug and Insect House has been specially crafted for our customers who appreciate nature. This impressive bug hotel is not limited to woodlands and parks, as anyone can enhance their garden with this giant bug and insect house. Join the movement to protect insect species, engage children, and support the voice of nature.
By incorporating a bug hotel in your garden, woodland, or park, you can delve deeper into the world of fascinating insects that visit and inhabit these spaces. This giant bug and insect hotel is highly sought after by zoos, nature reserves, trusts, woodlands, parks, and local authorities.
Bug hotels serve as beneficial habitats for various minibeasts and insects, including ladybirds, bees, spiders, and woodlice. These tiny creatures can find a safe sanctuary within the bug hotel, where they can seek shelter, lay their eggs, nurture their young, and escape from predators.
This unique insect hotel is meticulously crafted by skilled joiners in the UK, every piece is designed and handcrafted in Staffordshire. It's filled with natural materials like foraged twigs, logs, and pine cones collected from local forest floors. Additionally, bamboo sticks or river reeds are added to further attract solitary bees, beetles, ladybirds, and other garden insects. As an appealing touch, Stoke-on-Trent-fired clay bricks are incorporated.
This bug house is constructed using FSC-certified Homegrown Larch, providing a rustic and robust feel. To preserve its longevity, we recommend treating the exterior with a water-based stain or paint. However, it is advisable to leave the interior untreated, allowing nature to take its course.
