Calci worms, also known as black soldier fly larvae or phoenix worms, are a great source of nutrition for animals. As their name suggests, they have significant calcium content - in fact, they have what is considered to be the 'golden ratio' of calcium:phosphorus at 1.5:1. 

Since they are small and soft-bodied, calci worms go down great with all kinds of birds, lizards, geckos, amphibians and fish. Fed to juvenile animals, the calcium content can be extremely beneficial in their development.
